Sonia Lesage is a Victoria-based ceramic artist creating functional, handmade pottery. Drawing inspiration from the natural beauty of the West Coast, she embraces simplicity in form, texture and color. 

Working from her home studio, Sonia creates pieces that bring warmth, beauty and intention to daily rituals. Her work reflects a balance of form and function - objects meant to be used, lived with and appreciated over time.

Sonia moved to Vancouver Island over 20 years ago after traveling extensively throughout Canada and abroad. She first discovered clay while working at the Banff Centre for the Arts in 2001 and has been in love with the endless possibilities of clay ever since.

She lives with her husband and three young children, where life is full, beautiful and a tad chaotic!
